Vakil bath is an old public bath house in Shiraz, Karim Khan the founder of the Zand dynasty built this traditional Persian style bath as part of the royal district in 1766. When visiting the bath house you will see wax figures demonstrating the activities that would take place for example massages, back scrubs, wedding preparations and general chatting. The main wax figure is of Karim Khan himself preparing for a bath. The Vakil bath house infrastructure is 8660 square metres and has marble pools, glazed tile work and a special place named “shahneshin” which means kings seat, a special seat for kings.
